DermaTrack (“DermaTrack,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of families who use our app. This Privacy Policy explains what information DermaTrack collects, how it is used, how it is protected, and what choices parents and guardians have.

DermaTrack is designed to help families track skincare routines, medication reminders, progress photos, streaks, parent notes, and related care information. DermaTrack is not a professional medical app, does not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and does not replace advice from a doctor, dermatologist, or other qualified medical professional.

1. Information We Collect

DermaTrack may collect or store the following information that you choose to enter into the app:

Account and setup information:

- Parent or guardian name

- Parent page password or no-password preference

- Child’s name

- Child’s age

- Medication or skincare routine information

- Doctor or medical facility information, if provided

- App preferences and accessibility settings

Tracking information:

- Medication schedules

- Medication completion history

- Calendar progress

- Streaks and app activity

- Photo reminder timing

- Parent notes

Photos:

- Skin progress photos that you choose to capture or upload

DermaTrack does not collect precise location, contacts, microphone recordings, advertising identifiers, or payment information.

2. How We Use Information

We use information only to provide and improve the core DermaTrack experience, including:

- Creating and managing the child’s tracking profile

- Showing medication schedules and progress calendars

- Tracking streaks and completed care activities

- Sending local reminders for medication, photos, doctor notes, or parent review items

- Showing parent views and child views with account-specific information

- Helping parents review progress and notes

- Supporting accessibility and preference settings

- Allowing users to delete app data from within the app

DermaTrack does not sell personal information. DermaTrack does not use child information, health information, photos, or parent notes for advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Children’s Privacy

DermaTrack is intended to be used by parents or guardians to help manage a child’s skincare or medication routine.

Parents and guardians are responsible for entering, reviewing, and managing a child’s information in the app. If a parent chooses not to set a Parent page password, the child may be able to access and change parent settings inside the app.

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children for advertising, behavioral tracking, or sale to third parties.

If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate parent or guardian permission, contact us at [support email], and we will help delete the information.

4. Health and Medical Information

DermaTrack may store sensitive health-related information that you choose to enter, such as medication names, skincare routines, progress photos, streaks, and parent notes.

DermaTrack is not a doctor, dermatologist, healthcare provider, medical device, or emergency service. Information shown in DermaTrack is for organization and reminder purposes only. It is not medical advice.

Always consult a doctor, dermatologist, or qualified healthcare professional for serious symptoms, diagnosis, treatment decisions, medication questions, or changes to a care plan. Ask your doctor before using or relying on DermaTrack for any health-related decision.

5. Photos

If you choose to use photo features, DermaTrack may store skin progress photos inside the app. These photos may contain sensitive personal or health-related information.

You are responsible for deciding what photos to capture, save, or delete. Do not upload or store photos that you do not want associated with the app.

6. Notifications

DermaTrack may send notifications if you allow notifications in iOS. Notifications may include reminders such as:

- Medication due

- Photo due

- Parent review items

- Doctor note reminders

- Informational or educational reminders

Notifications are used only for app functionality. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings or within DermaTrack settings where available.

7. Data Storage

DermaTrack stores app information on your device for app functionality.

DermaTrack does not sell data, does not use third-party advertising SDKs, and does not use third-party analytics SDKs.

If your device uses Apple backup services, some app data may be included in backups depending on your iOS and iCloud settings. Apple’s handling of device backups is governed by Apple’s privacy policies and settings.

8. Data Sharing

DermaTrack does not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

We may share information only in limited situations:

- With your consent

- If required by law, regulation, court order, or legal process

- To protect the safety, rights, or security of users, families, DermaTrack, or others

- With service providers only if needed to operate the app or website, and only under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations

At this time, DermaTrack does not use third-party advertising, third-party analytics, or data brokers.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect information stored in DermaTrack. However, no app, device, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You can help protect your information by:

- Using a secure device passcode

- Setting a Parent page password if desired

- Using Face ID or device security features where available

- Keeping your device and iOS software updated

- Avoiding shared devices when storing sensitive health photos or notes

10. Data Retention

DermaTrack keeps information for as long as it is needed to provide app functionality or until you delete it.

You may delete information by:

- Editing or deleting entries inside the app where available

- Deleting your DermaTrack account or local app data where available

- Deleting the app from your device

Deleting the app may remove locally stored DermaTrack data from the device. Some data may remain in device backups depending on your Apple backup settings.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

- Access personal information

- Correct inaccurate information

- Delete personal information

- Limit certain uses of personal information

- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

- Ask questions about how information is handled
